פְּצַח

פְּצַח
פְּצַח 1) (= b. h. פָּצַח) to burst, open, v. פְּצִיחַ. 2) (cmp. פָּצַע Hif.; v. Syr. פצח P. Sm. 3208) (to spread,) to sparkle, be bright, v. פַּצִּיחַ. Pa. פַּצֵּחַ (with עינא) to brighten the eye-sight. Ab. Zar.28b פַּצּוּחֵי עינא to apply a paint (on the Sabbath) for the sake of brightening the eye-sight.
